Professor Jason Howells
Professor Jason began training Jiu Jitsu in 2006, under Professor Rogerio “Tatu” Taborda, in Pennsylvania. He immediately fell in love with Jiu Jitsu and competed as often as he could, winning several grappling tournaments, as a white and blue belt. In 2009, he moved to New Mexico and began training at Gracie Barra, where he met Professor Juan Pablo Garcia. He continued competing with success in various IBJJF and NAGA grappling tournaments. In March of 2019, he received his Black Belt from Professor Juan Pablo Garcia. As a brown belt, he discovered his passion for sharing the art of Jiu Jitsu. His goals are to bring Jiu Jitsu to anyone who wants to learn the art and continue to have a positive influence on the Jiu Jitsu community. When not teaching Jiu Jitsu, he enjoys spending time with his wife Jolene and children Nora, Aidan and Paulina.
